| At a Special General
Meeting of the Glenelg Footballers Club held on Wednesday
27th September the motion to adopt a new constitution
was unanimously accepted by the members.
As per previous communication, one of the most significant
changes is that the Directors of the Glenelg Football
Club are now the Directors of the Glenelg Footballers
Club. With this change, a number of members of the past
Footballers Club Committee are no longer part of the
corporate governance of the Club. The Club would like
to thank the following people for the contribution that
they have made to the Club during their involvement
as a member of the Footballers Club Committee: -

Following the Footballers Club Special General meeting,
a Special General meeting of the Glenelg Football Club
was held. At this meeting both changes top the Constitution
that were proposed were accepted by the members. These
changes mean that the Board of the Glenelg Football
Club is now made up of the following people: -

General
Meeting) |
Vacancy - The Board has the power to appoint a 10th
member to Board if it desires
Under the Football Club Constitution, the 4 Elected
Members are appointed for a term of 2 years with 2 Elected
Members up for re-election at the Annual General Meeting.
The Chairman or designate of the Vice Presidents is
appointed to the Board each year by the Vice Presidents
at their October meeting. All the appointed Board Members
hold their position until the conclusion of the Annual
General Meeting following their appointment.
The other change allows both the Footballers Club and
the Football Club AGM to be held no later than the end
of February each year. As per previous communication,
it is the aim of the Board to have the AGMs prior
to Christmas, but this does allow the Board some flexibility
if there is further preparation required after the Clubs
audit has been completed in early November.
