| KANE BROTHERS JOIN THE
TIGERS |

Glenelg Football Club
adds Ben and Chris Kane along with Sam Rudolph to their
2007 playing list, whilst also welcoming back Josh Willoughby
and Jack Juniper who will also don the black and gold
come the 2007 season.
Ben Kane, the 23 year old former Hawk has signed with
the Bays for the 2007 season. Ben played 23 AFL games
for Hawthorn Football Club, since his league debut in
2003. Described as a 'quick and aggressive midfielder'
Ben will assist the Club by adding strength and ferocity
to its midfield.
Chris Kane, Ben's younger brother will join him at Glenelg
in 2007. From the Eastern Rangers, Chris is an all round
utility player, and at just 18, with further experience
and game education has great potential to play consistent
senior level football.
Also from Victoria is 22 year old defender Sam Rudolph,
from the VFL Box Hill Hawks. Rudolph is a quick player
who will be utilised predominantly at half back and will
prove to be an exciting player to watch this season.
Josh Willoughby, originally from Bordertown in the South
East has played one senior game for the Tigers before
being drafted to the Sydney Swans in 2003 where he was
listed for 3 years. Josh's versatility will allow him
to be played as a goal kicking small forward, midfielder
or defender.
Jack Juniper, a key position player, is another returned
Tiger. The former Sacred Heart Collegiate, Juniper has
spent the past 2 years on the rookie list at Fremantle
and has impressed, playing consistent games for Perth
Football Club in defence.
Glenelg Football Club is also proud to announce 2006 Magarey
Medallist Brett Backwell will again don the black and
gold, after recently signing with the Bays for the 2007
season. Glenelg Football Club welcomes new recruits, the
Kane Brothers and Rudolph. The Club is very proud to have
Willoughby and Juniper return to the side along with Backwell
continuing his career at Glenelg for what promises to
be a bigger, stronger 2007 season. |
