Despite being at the club for 8 seasons, it’s in the last three years that Allen has well and truly confirmed himself as one of The Bays’ pivotal performers. After winning the Best and Fairest in 2008 and 2010, and finishing Runner-Up in 2009, he’s more than a crowd favourite. The tough midfielder is due to make an interrupted start to 2011 following ankle and shoulder surgery in the off-season, but if he can have another season like 2010 Glenelg will go along way to being one of the league’s top contenders.
