Son of former Tiger Michael Armfield, 19 year-old Darcy is touted as one of Glenelg’s best young players to watch in 2011. Despite only breaking into the league side once last season, that was nonetheless an impressive achievement for the then 18-year-old. The power forward aims to push for further selection in the squad and replicate his form in the Glenelg grades which last year which saw him selected for the South Australia Under 18 squad, and kick a bag of nine goals in the Bays’ 164-point demolition of Central.
